S&T Spotlight – ICAM Educational Series
On June 13, 2018, the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) First Responders Group published the Public Safety Communications Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) Working Group’s ICAM Educational Series. The Series was created to educate First Responder executives, project managers, and solution architects on ICAM policies to aid them in the procurement process.
The Series highlights ICAM-related issues, ranging from ICAM system requirements to implementation guidance for systems engineers, as well as basic ICAM principles and Federal grants for First Responder organizations. The document dissects different ICAM elements and capabilities to identify the benefits that an organization could obtain when implementing an ICAM-enabled system.
Oasys is proud to have supported DHS S&T in this effort to educate First Responders on ICAM and to have our very own Christine Owen, Larry Kroll, Christopher Price, and Ryan Page as named authors to the Series!

The next set of documents of the Series includes the Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) Implementation Guides that provides step-by-step instructions for building ICAM-enabled systems should be published by later in 2018.
